The license for Musicbed DV and the Synk Music Library is included with the Musicbed DV download. This page explains how our music may be used in plain English.

The Synk Music Library includes the Seasons 1 & 2 music libraries. 

How you may use our music

All of our music is royalty-free, which means our music may be used as many times as you like without incurring additional fees or costs.

You may use and distribute our music as part of your own project. Examples of acceptable use are: films, TV and cable programs, TV and cable advertisements or commercials, corporate videos, workout and aerobics videos, yoga and meditation videos, web sites, multimedia CDROMs, DVDs, trade show presentations, computer games.

Broadcasting and theatrical use

Broadcasting (TV, cable, radio, cinema, etc.) and theatrical use is included with the license. The broadcasting company is required to fill in "cue sheets" and submit them to the appropriate "performance rights licensing agencies".

To assist you in providing the broadcasting company with the correct information, the Musicbed DV software has an automated cue sheet generation feature.

Cue sheets and public performance

If you are creating a project for broadcast, the broadcasting company must fill cue sheets for the program. These cue sheets contain details with regards to the music used (music composer, music publisher, the affiliated performing rights organizations, duration of the music used). The broadcasting company completes these cue sheets for each program transmitted, as this is a legal obligation.

No additional payment is required by you when you submit the cue sheet to the broadcasting company. When properly filled, the cue sheet allows the composer and publisher to receive the "performance royalties" that are already paid by the broadcasting company as a set monthly fee.

Restrictions

Use in major theatrical releases and trailers or in mass market distribution of 100,000 units or more is licensed separately by contacting Synk Audio Studios LLC at sales@synkaudiostudios.com. The license forbids use of our music in "library music" (also known as "production music") intended for commercial exploitation without first obtaining a separate license from Synk Audio Studios LLC. You are also not allowed to release our music, in original or modified form, as your own or credited to yourself.
